We will open general population re entry at 6:00AM on Wednesday. Please remember that although the Parish is open all houses will NOT have power. If this is a necessity to you, please verify your house either by calling your answering machine or by a neighbor who has stayed behind. Only 55% of eastbank residents have power at this time and large portion of this district is still out.
After a brief assessment of the district, we faired very well. There is no wide spread roof damage, but power is still out in the majority of areas. We are beginning phased reentry this morning for people with Tier 1 passes. We hope to clear the roadways quickly for and expedient reentry. We will know more tomorrow on a timeline, but we hope our efforts will be quick. I will send out information tomorrow, as soon as possible.
